Research Response: MOTOR stated: \'MOTOR estimated work times are based on new, undamaged vehicles. According to the Guide To Estimating, page G20, under the Windshield Glass Heading: Time for the removal of old urethane, clean and preparation of sealing surfaces (vehicle and/or glass) should be estimated after an on-the-spot evaluation. After review, we have determined that the published estimated work time of 2.2 hours without any considerations for old urethane cleanup and surface prep is appropriate. With considerations for urethane removal and surface preparation, the time to replace the windshield should be very close to the time suggested by the customer. No changes.\'
