Issue Summary CCC has made up their own labor time to aim a distance sensor on a 2021 Nissan Rogue with the explanation that the time if for procedure as outlined in the oem service manual. There is no time listed in the service manual for this procedure. This procedure requires access to the oem software (for which there is a fee) and also specialized equipment. If they are going to put labor times in their database for specific procedures, then they need to explain EXACTLY what that time is for. Now, State Farm is using that time to dictate repairs and say it includes all the calibrations and scans for all the safety systems on this vehicle. I have attached the procedures directly from the Nissan service manual and there are no labor times in there. Looking up the procedure itself takes almost 30 minutes and requires a subscription.
Individual Procedure Steps First you must pay your subscription and look up the procedure, then see the attached itemized procedure
Actual time to complete (hour) 2.0
Actual time to complete (min) 30
Suggested Action if CCC is going to put their own labor times in for specialized procedures, then they should also publish the specific procedure and note the specialization required to perform that procedure
