Thank you for your inquiry,
After review, we have verified the labor allowance is sufficient to perform the requirements of the operation.

7/17 Update:

Confirmed. Labor time is based on procedures identified by GM. If the repairer needs to dissect the existing panel for access to spot welds/ adhesive locations, “Access Time” would be NOT INCLUDED since this specific step is NOT called out in the labor procedures.

Inquiry type Welded Panel Operations
Area of Vehicle Pick Up Box
Issue Summary 14 hrs to replace the complete rt bed side assembly PN 15294337 is only 1 hr more labor than doing the outerskin. The same inclusions of the bed r/i and bumper labor is still factored per the CEG. The bed assembly labor requires disecting the assembly to get access to the welds for removal. This took our tech 16.5 hrs to replace based on inclusions. Mitchells labor is NOT accurate only only allow 1 hr extra comparing to the outer panel only.
Type of Materials Involved metal
Number of Spot Welds 50
Technician Skill Level Advanced
Actual time to complete (hour) 16.5
Suggested Action more labor should be granted for a bedside panel assembly replacement
