Proposed Response Text:
Thank you for your inquiry about capping cooling/A/C lines and electrical lines for protection.
After reviewing your inquiry, the necessity of capping A/C and/or coolant lines to prevent contamination from entering the system – the short answer is yes, it is an included operation.

Masking & Capping Electrical Connections is NOT INCLUDED

Masking & Capping open AC & Cooling Lines is INCLUDED.

“We think about this one more like ‘Protect open hoses, lines or openings to prevent contamination intrusion.’  Mask, cap, cover, seal – whatever verb you want to use.  It’s a necessary workshop practice.  Many OEM procedures call it out and it is observed in most time studies.”

Issue Summary Is capping cooling and A/C lines, Electrical lines for protection is a non-included operation? CEG Does not state anything about this process. Would the same logic apply as Inquiry 30728 response? "After review of available information, the requirement to mask, protect or cap off electrical connectors is not outlined in the manufacturers service procedures and has not been accounted for in the labor allowance."
Suggested Action Add in CEG if NOT INCLUDED
