VehicleOwnersGuide.com said its Estimate Scrubber (www.EstimateScrubber.com) portal is now integrated with the Database Enhancement Gateway (www.degweb.org).

“We share the objective of the DEG to motivate improved estimating and blueprinting platforms. With integration of the DEG users can now scrub for omitted items, check for outstanding database inquiries, generate visual estimate summaries, and interact with industry vendors that provide promotional products / services, all in a single place at no cost by simply uploading an estimate printout”, said Steven Siessman, President of VehicleOwnersGuide.com.

“Integrating the DEG with EstimateScrubber.com is a good way to bring the DEG to the daily shop workflow, when an estimate is being reviewed. Estimators can review any outstanding database issues and submit a database inquiry while the estimate is fresh on their mind. The DEG could be utilized much more throughout the industry. Many issues with today’s estimating systems still go unreported.

The entire industry could benefit if we were able to generate more inquiries. EstimateScrubber.com provides us one more conduit to generate database inquiries and easily provide relevant information to repairers at the point it is needed most”, said Arthur Harris, DEG Administrator.

DEG- About the Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG): The DEG is an initiative designed to help improve the information in collision repair estimates through proactive feedback about vehicle-specific errors, omissions and inaccuracies in the database and labor times. With support and funding from the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP), Society of Collision Repairs (SCRS) and other industry organizations, the DEG can provide its services free of charge to the industry.
