Thank you for your inquiry,
The .5 difference represents painting only the rolled edge on the Door Repair Panel.

“if the user needs to refinish beyond the edge. Ultimately, it’s at the user’s discretion.”

Inquiry type Refinish Operations
Issue Summary When replacing rear door shell, Mitchell allows 2.3 + 1.0 (Jambs). When replacing the Door Skin, Refinish time allows 2.3 + .5 (Jambs). Why is there a .5 difference between the two shell or skin? We still need to refinish the entire jamb the same way a door shell is being replaced.
Suggested Action Increase refinish time for door skin to reflect same time as door shell or provide additional feedback where the stoppning point on door skin jamb refinish so we can show why additional labor is necessary.
