After review, the following has been determined;

After review, in the Front Bumper & Grille group, Headnote operations, the footnote applied to the “aim distance sensor” operation has been updated to state, “LABOR: Time does not include scan tool steps.”

After review, in the Front Bumper & Grille group, Bumper & Components, Upper Components subgroup, the footnote applied to the Upper Cover has been updated to state, “LABOR: Time is included with overhaul. Time is after bumper cover is removed. Component comes unprimed from OEM. Preparation is required. See ADD IF REQUIRED operation.”

The estimated work time of 0.6 hours applied to the “aim distance sensor” operation includes, Measure for and setting up targets, Physical alignment of Camera/Sensor and Putting the vehicle in position-dedicated area or alignment rack.

MOTOR feedback:  Setting up the targets to aim the radar sensor and moving the vehicle into dedicated area is included. Installing fixtures on wheels and rolling vehicle forward and backwards would not be included in the estimated work time.

MOTOR feedback:  MOTOR will not be adding a footnote in this case.  Clarity is provided in reference to the current GTE statement, “Items not listed under the INCLUDED/DOES NOT INCLUDE heading for any given procedure have not been considered in the estimated work time development for that procedure, unless specified by a footnote.”

Issue Summary Front bumper R/I only allows .3 labor when upper cover is selected. This should automatically default to R/I time.When "Aim distance Sensor" was updated to .6, the labor notes contridict the p pages for sensor and camera aiming.Steps outlined in service manual require you to add measuring heads to all 4 wheels, check tire pressure, perform center line verification. Once those have been confirmed then you can start the target placement for the front radar and run the process thru the RIDE app.Since there is not included of use of scan tool, and alignment, what is the .6 actually for? The labor notes should be reflected to remove "As outlined per oem procedure" to strictly only placing the radar targets into place after all the required work per the procedures have been complete. How did MOTOR account for actual aiming of the radar (static process) not done thru the scan tool to be included if you cannot make any adjustments without using the RIDE software?
Suggested Action Correct bumper R/I labor and revisit the Front distance sensor labor notes/ considerations as .6 per steps outlined in service manual contradict not included operations in GTE and scan tool steps.
