Proposed Resolution: MOTOR stated:
After review, anytime the Headlamp Assembly is removed from the vehicle the “Aim Headlamps” operation should be performed and added to the estimate.
Please note: If only the “R&I Headlamp” operation is being performed, the “Aim Headlamps” operation can be selected from the Additional Operations tab at the bottom of the Headlamp group.

Issue Summary When R&I Headlight is selected, no prompt or setting can be applied to "Aim Lights". What is MOTORs position on when AIM Lights should be performed after R&I? Is the labor time to R&I, and perform a verification that headlight aiming is within factory tollerances to ensure the light is reinstalled in the same exact position? We are being told by adjuster that if R&I headlight is performed that AIMing should not be needed if reinstalling the light back in the same spot. But verification of actual headlight aiming would need to be performed to see if "Aiming" is needed.
Suggested Action Provide feedback on Headllight aiming on R&I lamp situations. The system already suggest it in R&R, but nothing in R&I. Make updates to GTE regarding position on Aim Lights recommendations to ensure end users of the estimating systems can ensure the repaired vehicles get repaired correct and that this will encourage more thought regarding the aiming procedure.
