Estimating Tip: Mitchell- Roof rail refinish

Mitchell users may commonly locate “Refinish roof rail” labor operation in Mitchell estimating product. If the repair requires to blend instead of full refinish, the estimator will need to change the operation to blend. Refinishing or Blending the roof rail is NOT included when refinishing a quarter panel.  Quarter panel refinishing does NOT include extending the refinish material to the nearest break point.

If the user selects the “door opening panel” to refinish/ blend the “roof rail” refinish or blend is already be factored into the opening panel time. The system may not accurately calculate if the end user adds additional labor to refinish or blend the roof rail.
